Pendleton Scarecrow Contest Gets Historical

For year 12, Pendleton’s annual scarecrow contest is going historical, with a few fun exceptions.

The event features scarecrow historical figures such as Francis Marion and Thomas Green Clemson, as well as Andy and Barney on a Mayberry bench.

The winners will be announced at the town’s Oct. 14 Fall Festival.
