Library Offers Halloween Costume Exchange
Observer Reports
The Anderson County Library is making it easier to be fun, fancy and/or spooky this Halloween with a costume recycling program aimed at making the holiday more affordable.
The library’s Youth Services department is accepting the donation of gently used costumes, dance outfits, etc. that are in good condition (i.e., show no visible stains, have minimal wear and tear, etc.) through Oct. 15. The outfits can be dropped off at the main branch of the library.
From October 16-31, come by the Main Library to flip through our 'pop-up shop' booklet and pick out a *free*, new-to-you costume. Save the planet (and your wallet) by recycling an old outfit.
“The costume swap is a unique opportunity for families to visit the library and for parents to outfit their kids for trick or treating in a budget friendly way,” said Library Director Annie Sutton.
