It’s expected to be the largest music event in the Upstate since George Strait’s festival in Clemson 25 years ago, with visitors from all 50 states and as far away as Germany.

More than 30,000 are projected to be on hand for “Rock the Country,” a two-day event at the Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center’s amphitheater set for July 26-27.

The festival will feature music by Kid Rock, Jason Aldean, and Miranda Lambert with support from Brantley Gilbert, Travis Tritt, Big and Rich (featuring Gretchen Wilson), and other artists.

“We have been planning for this event for more than seven months, so we’ll be ready,” said Anderson County Administrator Rusty Burns. “It’s going to be a great event, and is expected to have an economic impact on Anderson County of at least $19.1 million.

Burns also said city and county law enforcement will be out in force to assure the safety of concert goers. Organizers also said fere water stations and medical support tents will also be onsite to help deal with the summer temperatures. Current long-range forecasts are calling for temperatures in the upper 80s with a low chance of rain.

Food trucks and trailers and other vendors will also be available for those in attendance.

A few tickets are still available here.
