United Way Cooperative Effort Seeks to Help Homeless

The United Way of Anderson County has provided more than a quarter of a million dollars in the past year to help serve those agencies in the community that are committed to improve the condition of those without housing or proper housing.

The funds have been distributed to AIM, Hope Missions of the Upstate, Rebuild Upstate and others find permanent housing or provide repairs to allow them to stay in their homes.

Zeke Stephenson, director of community impact for the United Way said that the agency sees working together as the key to making a difference.
