Vertiv to Add 300 Jobs at New Pelzer Facilty

Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure and continuity solutions, announced on Tuesday 300 jobs will be added at a new 215,000 square-foot facility in Pelzer near the company’s existing switchgear and busbar manufacturing on S.C. 8 near I-85.

The facility in Pelzer will produce integrated modular solutions, modular power systems, and other integrated systems, using its portfolio of power, cooling, and IT infrastructure technologies for data centers.

“This is another great addition to the manufacturing industry in Anderson County,” said Anderson County Administrator Rusty Burns. “We welcome the expansion of this great company and the 300 additional jobs they are bringing.”

Vertiv will host job fairs and recruitment events in the coming months to meet with candidates for open positions, including mechanical and electrical engineers, electrical testers, electricians, skilled mechanics, procurement, project management, and general operations. Tommy Haughton, director of operations for the Anderson County facilities said that the company has a robust training program and dedicated training teams to facilitate onboarding and quality of all new hires.
