Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer

Hot, humid weather didn’t deter the crowds who streamed into Spring Water Park in Williamston Saturday for the town’s annual Freedom Fest.

“Nobody does Independence celebrations like Williamston,” said Williamston Mayor Rockey Burgess, who led the parade..

The park was filled with food and craft vendors and events included a parade, a fishing bobber race on the river, a cruise in, live music and a fireworks display.
