Dist 2 Superintendent: Hard Working Teachers Key to Our Success
Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer
Anderson County School Dist. 2 Superintendent is excited about the growth in his district. Improved test scores, integrated teaching plans and assessments and a culture that fosters community make the district special, Johns said.
“These have been the best two years of my professional life,” said Johns, who took over as superintendent two years ago.
The seven schools are seeing expansion in facilities, and the district is launching a tuition-paid kindergarten for three and four year olds beginning in August, and the slots for the program are already full.
He talked about the current state and the future of the schools in his district in this interview with the Anderson Observer.
