47th Jubilee Kicks Off with Near-Record Crowds
Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer
Unseasonably cool weather did not chill the spirits for the kick off of the 47th annual Pendleton Spring Jubilee on Saturday, which is expected to attract more than 15,000 before it ends Sunday.
By noon, crowds filled the streets of the town to check out the work of artists from across the country, or enjoy the food, music and atmosphere of the popular festival.
One of the East Coast’s top festivals, the festival features showcases of juried art, which is a major draw for experienced artists.
The Jubilee continues Sunday from noon-5 p.m.
