AnMed Hosts 20th Annual Teddy Bear Clinic

AnMed Health hosted the 20th annual Teddy Bear Clinic Saturday, with families lined up to visit the event, stuffed animals in hand. This year's event was held, for the first time, at the Anderson Institute of Technology.
The purpose of the event is to demystify doctor and hospital visits for children (and their parents) through a series of activities and displays offering simulation of medical procedures with the teddy bear, or other stuffed animal as the patient.
AnMed doctors, nurses and other medical professionals demonstrated everything from x-ray exams to how to make a crib safe for infants as part of the event.
