County Swears in First Code Enforcement Officers

Greg Wilson/Anderson Observer

Anderson County has it’s first code enforcement officers, following a swearing in ceremony as part of Tuesday night’s county council meeting.

David Hendrix and Matthew Stipe are the new officers and will be responsible for the enforcement of the regulatory ordinances of the Code of Ordinances. Their work will include enforcing any rules across the county, including regulations at parks and other public places.

Council also set in motion the approval of a new Solid Waste Plan, something required by federal law, as part of the meeting.

Anderson County Council Vice Chairman Brett Sanders recapped the meeting for the Anderson Observer.
