S.C., Anderson County Chooses Trump in GOP Primary

Anderson County voters voted in even greater numbers that the statewide totals, with 68.69 percent of voters choosing Trump, and 30.61 percent voting for former S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley. Only four precincts in Anderson County, one in City of Anderson, Denver, Pendleton and Sandy Springs favored Nikki Haley.

At an early meeting, some council members expressed concerns that because the library appointments were four-year terms, while council served two-year terms, it created the possibility that a council member might not be able to appoint a board member to the library if it is not within their term of office.
