5 New Works Join Downtown's SculpTOUR Public Art
Five new public sculptures have joined other works on the streets downtown as part of the Anderson Arts Center’s SculpTOUR, a public partnership between the Anderson Arts Center and the City of Anderson to increase public art downtown.
Will Ragland to Receive S.C. Theatre Association Founders Award

County Council Candidates Outline Priorities at Chamber Forum
All four candidates for the challenged Anderson County Council seats took part in Thursday’s Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce candidate forum. County Council Chairman Tommy Dunn, and his Dist. 5 challenger Robert McCurry and County Council Vice Chairman Brett Sanders and his challenger Dave Shalaby outlined differences in their approach to serving the county during the forum.

S.C. Senate Oks Ban on Gender-Affirming Care for Minors
The 27-8 vote in favor included all Republicans present and one Democrat voting for the ban. That came after the remaining Democrats tried to walk out so there wouldn’t be enough senators to stay in session, but the vote was called too fast.
National Group Rates AnMed Safety with Top Grade
AnMed was awarded an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from the a national nonprofit watchdog organization, which offers grades to general hospitals across the nation based on more than 30 measures of errors, accidents, injuries and infections, as well as the systems hospitals have in place to prevent them.

In the play, 10 contestants vie for a "hardbody" truck in Longview, Texas. The last contestant who has his or her hands on the truck wins it. The truck is a Nissan "hardbody" pickup (on stage).[5] The lives of each contestant, along with the car dealer and a radio announcer are revealed during the "hardbody" contest.
School Dist. 1 Elementary School to Carry Historic Name
The name Oak Hill has ties to the community’s history, with documented photographs believed to be from the 1930s showing students once attended an Oak Hill School in the area. By selecting the name, the district hopes to pay homage to this legacy and honor the generations of students who walked its halls.

The downtown walk is the largest fund-raising event of the year for the Free Clinic, which provides medical, dental, vision, mental health and pharmacy services to the uninsured whose income does not exceed 200 percent of the Federal Poverty guidelines and have no insurance.
