Foothills Human Trafficking Task Force and Anderson’s The Blue Dragonfly, a 501c3 non-profit, are working together to help juvenile victims of human trafficking with advocacy, education, outreach, awareness and resources.
TCTC has Big Expansion Plans for Anderson Campus
Heading into the new school year, the school has big expansion plans, especially for the Anderson campus. TCTC President Galen DeHay said plans are in the works to move and expand the automotive program to Anderson, adding diesel, heavy diesel, electric vehicle repair. The future also hopes to add a program in partnership with Bosch for working with hydrogen fuel cells.

Palmetto Seniors Fall Just Short in Bassmaster Nationals
Bryson Gurley and Ethan Evatt came within 11 ounces of winning the 2023 Strike King Bassmaster High School Championship at Green Pond Landing. Meals on Wheels to Open West Pelzer Senior Center
The Senior Place: West Pelzer, scheduled to open Aug. 7, will provide a place for senior citizens to gather for a nutritious meal, social and recreational activities, and educational opportunities.

Mercy Chapel Marks Nine Years of Compassionate Service
The ministry serves breakfast and lunch five days a week at their facility on South Main Street, and is a ministry hub in the neighborhood that once housed Orr Mills. From medical and mental health assistance, to finding rides to work, the church works with other nonprofits and churches in the area to serve those who need a little extra help and a safe, compassionate place to find fellowship.
High School Bassmaster Championship to Launch from Green Pond Thursday
The High School Championship — featuring more than 480 teams from 35 states and Canada — will launch each day at 6:20 a.m. and return at 2:20 p.m. for weigh-in. Full coverage will be available on Bassmaster.com. Hartwell Lake, which has hosted four Bassmaster Classics, continues to enjoy the national spotlight as one of the nation’s top bass lakes.
